Dyer has teamed up with Providence Rubingisa, a Rwandan national who came to the United States in 2002, to found the organization.
Stuff for the Poor collects items from across the United States, such as used bikes, shoes, toys, summer clothes and baby items, and brokers the items to small businesses in Africa.
At the present time, a warehouse or pole barn is needed to get donated items into shipping containers so the group can sell its first batch of used goods.

AGC Appeals Federal Court's Ruling That EPA must set Limits on Sediment in Construction Runoff

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) both filed an appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to contest a recent California district court ruling that requires the EPA to issue an "effluent limitation guideline" (ELG) for the "Construction and Development" (C&D) industry.

Simpson Strong-Tie has introduced a companion guide to the AF&PA Wood Frame Construction Manual (WFCM) to help builders and building officials with the rebuilding effort in the Gulf Coast region.
