New Web Site Extols Advantages of Post-Frame
NFBA Unveils www.PostFrameAdvantage.com

Lawrence, Kan., July 1, 2008 –The National Frame Building Association (NFBA), a non-profit organization representing the post-frame building industry, announced on July 1 that it has launched a new web site, www.postframeadvantage.com. The site is designed to educate those who are unfamiliar with post-frame construction of its benefits.

The post-frame building market is comprised of a total building sales volume in excess of $12 billion each year. Post-frame originated in the agricultural building market, but has grown into commercial, industrial, institutional and residential market segments. Post-frame is very well suited for many low-rise commercial applications, so the new site focuses largely on benefits for this market segment.

Visitors to the site may order their own free copy of a full-color, hardbound book that has just been written by NFBA. The 120-page book, titled “The Post-Frame Advantage Handbook,” features beautiful photography, pertinent technical information, case studies and more. It is a proud addition to any construction expert’s library.

The web site includes information about codes and design standards that apply to post-frame, as well as many other educational resources including articles and videos. Visitors may also find a post-frame builder, supplier or designer member using a special online module that will hone in on the type of construction and features they are looking for. There is also an extensive gallery of building photos on the site. More features will be added as work on the site progresses.

NFBA was established in 1970 to address building code changes that may affect the post-frame industry. The organization represents post-frame contractors, design professionals, manufacturers and distributors. NFBA is the only trade association representing the interests of the post-frame construction industry throughout the United States.

The underlying reason for NFBA’s existence has long been to expand post-frame construction through technical research and education. For more information about the National Frame Building Association or the association’s annual convention and trade show, Frame Building Expo, please call NFBA headquarters at 800/557-6957 or visit www.nfba.org.
