Case Study: Grace Baptist Church of Alexandria, MN

This building is a structure being used for the purposes of holding church services and other church-based activities. The structure is placed on an insulated concrete poured wall.

The ability to use brick and horizontal Hardiplank on the "curb appeal" side of the building and economical hi-rib steel on less visible sides of the building was a way to save money but not compromise the beauty of the building. The entrance is accented by a double wide drive through canopy for easy drop off and pick up in poor weather.

Post frame construction was utilized for the entire project due to its versatility and specific time considerations. The ease of future expansion was an influencing factor, as this post-frame structure will be relatively easy to add on to in the future. This building was constructed by Morton Buildings with a great amount of input by the Grace Baptist Church of Alexandria's dedicated building committee.

One committee member of the church makes note of the extra work Morton project manager Brad Engh put into the planning of the building, "He was energetic and appeared as having a good knowledge of this building system. He took us on a 100 mile tour of other churches Morton had built in Minnesota. We are pleased with the final product. We have received dozens of comments on how beautiful the building turned out."
